Description
Overview
The Nerf Vortex Aero Howler is a foam ball shaped like a gridiron football, with a flight-optimising tail that stabilises it for distance and a whistle built in so it howls as it flies. Nerf calls it the original long-distance football, and the hand grip gives a firm hold for the throw.
It sits in our throw & catch range and doubles as a junior javelin alternative on athletics days, where students can practise throwing for distance. Colours are assorted.

- Doubles as a junior javelin alternative on athletics days.
Who it's for
PE teachers running throw-and-catch units, lunchtime activity boxes, and schools that want a distance-throwing event on athletics day without a javelin. It is a playground and PE item, not a ball for any sporting code.

Frequently asked questions
Can we choose the colour?
Colours are assorted. If a class set needs to match, ask our customer-service team before ordering and they will tell you what they can do.
Is it really a javelin substitute?
It is listed as a junior javelin alternative: the finned tail and the howl let students throw for distance and see and hear where it goes. For a foam javelin proper, see the Foam Javelin – Junior.
