Overview
The GL Outdoor Senior Basketball Tower – 1.5m is a heavy duty outdoor basketball system with a 1.5 m overhang between the post and the backboard. Its design has served councils, schools and even prisons around New Zealand for many years and is backed by an Engineering Design Certificate. It is the mid-overhang option among the senior towers in our outdoor systems range.
The post is fabricated from 100 × 100 SHS steel and carries a full steel frame for the backboard, with top stays adding rigidity. All steelwork is hot dipped galvanised for corrosion protection. The backboard is International size, made from marine bonded ply, fully painted and finished with regulation line markings.

Care, safety and set-up
This tower is made to order and manufactured after your order is placed. Because of its size it travels by freight, which we quote separately.
Some assembly may be required on site, so enquire for details before installation. Decide before ordering whether the post will be concreted permanently into the ground or fitted with the optional ground sleeve so the tower can be removed later.

What is included with the tower?
The post, the steel backboard frame with top stays, the painted marine ply backboard, and a Galvanised Samson Non Sprung hoop with net. The ground sleeve is an optional extra.
Can the tower be removed later?
Yes, if you choose the optional ground sleeve at the time of ordering. Without it the post is concreted permanently into the ground.
How is delivery arranged?
