Description
Overview
The Avaro Club Match Yellow Sz5 Carton delivers 40 yellow and black Avaro Club Match rugby union balls in size 5, enough to run a whole timetable of PE rugby classes or an academy programme without balls going missing between periods. Avaro is the house brand, designed in NZ, and the Club Match is its training ball that also serves as a junior match ball.
Every ball is hand stitched and built on a 3 ply polycotton and rubber laminate. Inside is a latex bladder chosen for long air retention, and the outer carries a dimpled 3D grip with an aerodynamic shape. The result is a ball that handles like a match ball while being positioned for heavy training use.
Key benefits
- Class sets stay usable all term with a bladder designed for long air retention.
- Students learning to pass get help from the dimpled 3D grip surface.
- Hand-stitched seams over a 3 ply polycotton and rubber laminate for repeated daily use.
- Aerodynamic shape gives predictable flight for kicking and passing skill sessions.
- Doubles as a junior match ball for school fixtures.
Who it's for
Pick this carton for secondary school PE departments, school rugby programmes and academies coaching players aged 13 and over, which is the age the size guide gives for size 5. Intermediate and primary schools should look at the size 4 and size 3 Club Match balls instead, such as the Avaro Club Match OB – S3 for ages 9 to 10.
It is honest to call this a training ball for seniors and a match ball for juniors. For senior competition fixtures choose a dedicated match ball from the Avaro range or our other sports balls.
Sizing guide
Avaro's rugby size guide places size 5 at ages 13 and over, size 4 at ages 11 to 12, size 3 at ages 9 to 10 and size 2.5 at ages 7 to 8. This listing is the size 5 carton; the Club Match also comes in sizes 3 and 4.
Care, safety and set-up
Check pressure at the start of each teaching block and let wet balls dry before they go back in the carton. Dispatch is generally the same or next business day, and the balls are covered by our 12-month guarantee.
Frequently asked questions
Can we use it for school matches?
Yes for junior grades. Avaro positions the Club Match as a training and junior match ball, which covers most school fixtures; senior competition should use a dedicated match ball.
How is the carton different from buying single balls?
Same ball, different quantity. The single listing is the Avaro Club Match YB – S5; the carton is 40 of them in one line for bulk orders.
Are funding options available for schools?
Yes. We offer funding packages for schools and clubs, and our reps can put together a quote for a full rugby fit-out.
