Description
Overview
The Dunlop Progress Squash Ball is built to make squash playable for people still learning. It is 6% larger than a standard ball and has 20% longer hang time than the Pro ball, so rallies last longer and players can concentrate on footwork and swing rather than chasing a dead ball.
It is a development ball, not the ball for graded competition.
Key benefits
- Longer rallies for beginners thanks to 20% more hang time than the Pro.
- Easier to strike cleanly because it is 6% larger than a standard ball.
- Helps players develop correct technique before moving to faster balls.
- Suits social and recreational play as well as coaching.
Who it's for
Buy this for secondary school squash programmes, club beginner nights and casual players who want a hit without frustration. As players improve, move them to the standard-size Dunlop Competition, then to the Dunlop Pro Double Dot for graded play. Very young children may do better with the Small Kiwi Squash Ball.
Frequently asked questions
Can adults use this ball or is it for kids?
It is for any beginner or recreational player regardless of age. It is oversized to slow the game down, not scaled for small hands.
When should players move off the Progress ball?
Once they can sustain rallies and are placing the ball, step to the Dunlop Competition, which is standard size with a single yellow dot.
