Description

Overview

The Vinex Olympic Starting Block is built around stability. The centre rail is a 75 mm slotted aluminium channel, and two slip-in anchor plates spread the load so the rail stays put when a sprinter drives off. Spiked plates, described as rust proof, pin the block into synthetic or cinder tracks.

The paddles are heavy aluminium with thick rubber pads, giving a firm push-off surface. It is the block to choose for meet days and committed sprint squads within the track starts range; the Vinex range also carries steel-channel blocks for everyday training.

Key benefits

  • Stays anchored through the drive, with two slip-in anchor plates and spiked plates.
  • Resists corrosion at the track, as the spiked plates are rust proof.
  • Firm foot placement from heavy aluminium paddles with thick rubber pads.
  • Fine stance adjustment along a 75 mm slotted rail.
  • Works on both synthetic and cinder tracks.

Who it's for

Athletics clubs, regional meet organisers and secondary schools with a synthetic track. The spiked plates are made for synthetic and cinder surfaces, so check what your start line is laid on before ordering.

Care, safety and set-up

Fit the anchor plates and press the spikes fully home before a runner loads. Wipe the rail and slots after each session so the paddles keep sliding, and store the block off damp ground.

Frequently asked questions

Which surfaces does it suit?

Synthetic and cinder tracks. The rust-proof spiked plates are what hold it in place on those surfaces.

How does it stay put during the start?

Two slip-in anchor plates on the 75 mm rail plus spiked plates that grip the track.

Can a club order a full lane set?

Yes. Add the blocks to a quote and request a quote; quantity pricing applies on many lines and funding packages exist for clubs.
