Description
Overview
At 10 kg, the York Kettlebell (10kg) is the heaviest of the five York vinyl kettlebells Sports Distributors lists, above the 2, 4, 6 and 8 kg bells. York makes the range up to 20 kg.
Like the rest of the range it is designed for core strength, core stability and power training. The vinyl outer and soft feet on the base let senior students and club athletes set it down after heavy swings without damaging the surface.
Key benefits
- Adds real load to swings, squats and carries for stronger athletes.
- Soft feet under the bell save weights-room floors from dents and scuffs.
- Vinyl outer stays easy to clean in shared club and school gyms.
- Pairs with hex dumbbells for a compact strength circuit.
Who it's for
Choose the 10 kg for senior secondary students and club players who have outgrown the 8 kg, and for coaches running strength and conditioning blocks. It is an indoor bell for weights rooms, halls and studios.
If most of your group is still learning technique, the York Kettlebell (8kg) or York Kettlebell (6kg) is the safer buy. For a rounded school weights area, add the Rubber Hex Dumbell 8KG Ea and the 24 Hex Dumbell Stand to keep everything off the floor.
Care, safety and set-up
Clean the vinyl outer with a damp cloth after use and store on a low rack or in a marked bay. Teach lifters to set the bell down under control rather than dropping it.
Frequently asked questions
Is 10 kg too heavy for a PE class?
For most junior and intermediate classes, yes. Start with the lighter York bells and keep the 10 kg for seniors and club conditioning where technique is already sound.
Can I get heavier kettlebells than 10 kg?
York produces the range up to 20 kg. Add this product to a quote and ask our team about heavier weights for a club or school fit-out.
