Description
Overview
Orienteering Standards are fibreglass stands that hold a clipper at each control on your course. Fix a clipper to the top of the stand, place it at the control point, and competitors punch their card as they arrive.
They sit within our orienteering range alongside compasses and clipper sets, so you can build a complete course set-up from one order.
Key benefits
- Gives each control a visible, fixed post so competitors punch the right clipper.
- Light to carry out to controls, with a shipping weight of 0.3 kg.
- Sold without clippers, so you can fit the clipper style your club already uses.
- Fibreglass stand keeps the control marker simple to place and pick up again.
Who it's for
Suits schools and clubs setting up permanent or temporary orienteering courses who already own clippers or are buying them alongside. PE teachers running a school orienteering unit can set the stands out for a lesson and collect them afterwards.
If you need clippers as well, pair the stands with Orienteering Clippers Style A – x10 so every control is complete before course day.
Care, safety and set-up
Clippers and the screws to attach them are not supplied, so source fixings and mount your clippers before heading out to set the course. Orders generally dispatch the same or next business day from our Mount Maunganui warehouse.
Frequently asked questions
Are clippers included with the stands?
No. The stands are supplied on their own, without clippers and without the screws to attach them. Order clippers separately, such as the Orienteering Clippers Style A – x10 set.
Can I get quantity pricing for a full course?
Yes. Quantity pricing applies on many lines, and you can add the stands to a quote and request a quote for a school or club course set-up. Our team can help you match stands to your clipper count.
