Description
Overview
The Cricket Batting Tee – Small is the lower of two Avaro tees in our junior cricket range, made to help developing cricketers hit a stationary ball before they face bowling. Holding the ball still lets a beginner concentrate on watching the ball onto the bat rather than judging a delivery.
Key benefits
- Lets beginners practise their swing on a still ball, no bowler needed.
- Sized for the smallest players starting out in junior cricket.
- Light enough for a teacher to carry a class set, around 0.1 kg each.
- Part of a range designed in NZ to get children into cricket.
Who it's for
Choose the small tee for the youngest and shortest beginners in a primary PE class or junior club session. Taller juniors who strike from a higher position are better served by the Cricket Batting Tee – Large. Both belong to the Avaro range of junior cricket gear.
Frequently asked questions
Should I buy the small or the large tee?
The small tee suits the youngest and shortest beginners. Move to the large tee as players grow and hit from a higher position.
Which ball works with it?
A soft junior ball such as the Yellow PVC Cricket Ball Jnr is a sensible match for beginners learning to hit off a tee.
