Empty Sandbags from Unicrest are PVC ballast bags for weighting marquee legs when you set up on surfaces you cannot peg into. They come empty, sand not included, so you fill them at the venue instead of freighting the weight around. Sold each, so you order one bag for every leg you need to hold down.

Description

Overview

Empty Sandbags are the fill-on-site way to keep a marquee planted on courts, car parks and concrete. Each is a PVC bag supplied empty, sand not included, from Unicrest. You add sand at the venue and tip it out before packing down, which keeps the bags light to carry between events.

They are sold each and belong with the Unicrest range of marquee parts we supply, alongside galvanised ground pegs and steel footplates.

Key benefits

  • Weight your marquee on hard ground where pegs cannot go.
  • Light to transport because you fill them where you set up.
  • PVC bag construction.
  • Sold each, so buy exactly as many as your legs need.

Who it's for

Clubs and schools that put marquees up on asphalt courts, hard-court netball venues or sealed car parks, where a ground peg is not an option. If you would rather not fill anything on the day, the galvanised steel foot plate weights are the fixed-weight alternative. On grass, ground pegs remain the standard anchor.

Care, safety and set-up

Fill with sand on site and empty the bags before you pack the marquee away. Brush out sand and wipe the PVC before storage. This item is flagged for freight, so delivery is quoted; see shipping and returns.

Frequently asked questions

Is sand included?

No. The bags are supplied empty and you source sand locally.

How many should I order?

They are sold each. Order one for each marquee leg you want weighted, or request a quote for a full set of marquee parts.

Can I use these instead of pegs?

They are the ballast option for surfaces you cannot drive a peg into. On grass, galvanised ground pegs are the usual anchor.
