Description
Overview
The GL Adjustable BB Tower – Intermediate is the more fully specified of the two adjustable towers Gym Leader builds for us. The post is 75 × 75 mm RHS steel with an adjustable-height support arm; regulation and Kiwi settings come pre-set, and you can mark in additional intermediate heights yourself if your school wants a step between the two.
The backboard is primary size at 1200 × 800 mm, made from marine bonded ply, fully painted and line marked, and carried on a Spida-style bracket. Steel work is hot-dip galvanised and the tower is supplied with a Samson non-sprung hoop and net. Like everything in our basketball systems range that is made to order, freight is quoted to your site.
Key benefits
- Set your own intermediate ring heights as well as the supplied regulation and Kiwi settings.
- Painted and line-marked backboard gives players a proper target from day one.
- Marine bonded ply backboard on a Spida-style bracket for a solid rebound.
- Galvanised 75 × 75 mm RHS post built to stand outdoors year after year.
- Hoop and net included, so nothing extra to order before first use.
Who it's for
Intermediate schools and full primary schools that want to lower the ring for juniors, raise it to regulation for seniors, and dial in a mid setting for the Year 7 and 8 group in between. The marked backboard suits skills sessions where students are practising bank shots as well as free shooting.
Schools with only younger students who do not need the extra heights or the specified backboard can compare the GL Adjustable BB Tower – Primary. For competition-grade play, look at the senior outdoor towers or the GL 4 Way Outdoor Tower for multi-hoop courts.
Sizing guide
Our hoop height guide lists 2.4 m for ages 1 to 4 years and 3.05 m (regulation) for ages 5 and over. This tower includes regulation and Kiwi settings and lets you add intermediate heights; confirm the Kiwi height in metres with our team.
Care, safety and set-up
Some assembly may be required and you should enquire with our team about what is involved. Because the tower is manufactured after you order, allow for the build in your planning and expect a freight quote rather than a flat delivery charge. You can request a quote for one tower or a full court fit-out, and funding packages are available for schools.
