Description
Overview
The Beach Volleyball Set – Standard is the simpler of the two Avaro beach volleyball sets. It bundles a 9.5 m heavy duty net, 4 section poles, a nylon wound volleyball and a carry bag, and nothing more. That keeps it easy to hand out to a group of students and count back in afterwards.
Be clear about what it leaves out. Boundary guides are not included, so the court has no marked lines unless you add markers or a rope yourself. The set is recreational grade and the bag and colours may vary between batches, which matters little for PE but is worth knowing if you are buying several to match. The ball is a nylon wound volleyball, and you can see how it compares in our volleyball kitsets.
Key benefits
- Carries in one hand with net, poles and ball all in the supplied bag.
- Breaks down small for storage because the poles are in 4 sections.
- Gives a hard-wearing ball for sand and grass with the nylon wound volleyball.
- Spans a recreational court with the 9.5 m heavy duty net.
- Keeps things simple: no anchors or ropes to lose.
Who it's for
Pick the Standard set for casual games at school picnics, camps, holiday programmes and home lawns or beaches, where a rough court and a quick set-up are all that is needed. It is a recreational set, not a training or match rig, so serious volleyball programmes should look at a Volleyball Net – School with proper posts.
If you plan to play on sand regularly, or want marked lines, a set with anchors and a perimeter rope will save you improvising. If you only need a replacement net, the Beach Volleyball Net is sold on its own.
Sizing guide
The site's volleyball net height guide, measured at the centre of the net, lists 2.43 m for men, 2.24 m for women and junior boys and 2.14 m for junior girls. Use these as a reference; recreational games can be set to suit the players.
Care, safety and set-up
Empty sand out of the bag and let the net and ball dry before storing. Keep all 4 pole sections in the bag so the set stays complete for the next class.
This is imported stock held in NZ and generally dispatches the same or next business day.
