Description
Overview
The Avaro Basic Table Tennis Bat is the entry point in the Avaro range of table tennis bats. It is built for beginners and recreational players who want to learn basic strokes rather than chase spin and speed. Like the rest of the Avaro range, it is designed in NZ for school and club use.
Do not expect a competition bat. This is a no-fuss bat for PE classes, school lunchtime tables, holiday programmes and family games rooms.
Key benefits
- Easy control for new players thanks to the thin 1.5 mm sponge layer.
- Predictable contact off the pimple-in rubber face while students learn strokes.
- Linden plywood blade stands up to daily class use.
- Sold singly, so you replace lost or damaged bats one at a time.
Who it's for
Choose this bat for PE classes, school table tennis clubs, holiday programmes and casual home play where the goal is improving basic skill levels. It suits players picking up a bat for the first time or returning to the game socially.
If your players are past the basics and want more spin and speed, look further up the table tennis bats range. For a whole-school order, the team can request a quote for you and explain the funding packages available.
Care, safety and set-up
Wipe the rubber faces with a damp cloth after use and let the bat dry before it goes back in the bag. Store bats flat, out of direct sun and away from damp changing rooms so the rubber and plywood keep their shape. Keeping class bats in a box or bag stops the edges getting chipped.
