Overview
The High Jump Pit Pad Set – 3.6m Intermediate is a NZ made three-mat landing pit for high jump at intermediate schools, secondary schools and athletics clubs. Placed together, the 3 mats form a landing area 3.6 m wide, 2.4 m deep and 600 mm high.
Each pad is urethane cell foam inside a PVC cover with reinforced handles for carrying and breather panels that let air escape on landing. On its own the set is a training and sports-day pit; add the separately sold top cover and it can be used for competition. It is part of the Silver Fern range.

Care, safety and set-up
Store the pads flat, under cover and off wet ground between sessions, and carry them by the handles rather than dragging the covers. This set is made to order, so it is manufactured after you order rather than shipped from the shelf; it also travels as freight, which we quote separately. Add it to a quote, ask about funding packages for school athletics equipment, and our reps will confirm freight before you commit.

Is the top cover included?
No. The top cover is a separate purchase (Intermediate Pit – Top Cover). You need it if the pit is to be used for competition; for training and school sports days the 3 pads work on their own.
How do I order, and what about freight?
Use request a quote to add the set and, if needed, the top cover. It is a made to order item and a bulky freight item, so we confirm the freight cost to your school or club before the order is placed.
Intermediate or senior, which do we need?
Choose intermediate for school programmes and junior club training. Choose the senior set where senior club athletes or inter-school competition need the larger 3 m deep landing area.
How many pads make up the set?
Three. Placed side by side they make one landing area 3.6 m wide by 2.4 m deep, 600 mm high.
